THE FINER DETAILS
This wine has a beautiful deep red colour and aromas of dark berries, cedar and spice with lifted oak character. The palate has dark, spicy berry fruits and firm tannin. Serve with lamb – roasted rack in spring, butterflied on the barbecue in summer and slow cooked shanks in winter.Download Tasting Notes
Vintage 2013 was excellent, with moderate conditions overall. Good fruit set and large bunches required thinning at veraison to maintain quality. Warm, dry days and cool nights in autumn produced optimum ripeness in Cabernet fruit.
This fruit was grown on vines aged between 20 and 50 years. The wine was aged for 15 months in a mix of old and new American and French oak hogsheads.
