Pont-l'Évêque
As with any great cheese, best when eaten at room temperature for the full flavours to be prevalent. Delicate, fruity, lactic flavour with a hint of yeast on the finish. The flavour is more full-bodied if you choose to eat the rind (some prefer to trim it). Pont L'Eveque goes best with the silky, fruity red wines.

The dry oaky washed rind aroma adds a touch of calmness to the merlot, plays well with the fruit and adds brings out the prune notes in the wine.
