A blend of classic dry Rosé varietals – primarily Sangiovese with portion of Nebbiolo
94 POINTS - REAL REVIEW 2022
“Pale, just slightest blush of rose-gold in the glass. Red cherry and cinnamon aromatics. Bright red-berry fruit on entry then it morphs into a deeper and more savoury line with red earth, cinnamon and cardamon spices filling the senses. Good flow and length, acidity takes a back seat to a hit of tannins at the finish. A food friendly rosé.” – Stuart Knox

TASTING NOTES
The colour is a clear light salmon. The nose has vibrant red fruit and spice aromas and the palate has juicy fruit flavours and savoury notes. This wine is perfect for sipping on its own and will pair handsomely with a range of foods. A youthful wine made to drink while young and fresh.
SEASON
The 2020 season was unlike any other. Great quality fruit and mild weather throughout harvest were overshadowed by fires across the country and a pandemic that started in the midst of picking. The quality of the wines should not be underestimated, and we feel this could be our best Rose to date.
WINEMAKING
This wine is made with Sangiovese and Nebbiolo grapes. The fruit was pressed gently, picking up just enough colour on the way. The wine had a short maturation in tank and older oak and is made to drink now while fresh and youthful.
One of Australia’s premier cool climate wine regions, the Yarra Valley encompasses such diverse topography that it can produce premium quality fruit in a range of grape varieties.
With its stunning hills and dales ranged before a backdrop of blue mountains, elevations vary greatly. The climate is Mediterranean with a maritime influence from Port Phillips.
A collection of classic varieties grown in the earth that suits them best. Each wine is a reflection of their region.
The labels feature an abstract hand-print illustration designed to evoke the distinct personality of the country from which the wine originates.
This abstract hand is representative of the heart of Australia, the wildness and terroir of the land and its iconic red centre.
