Activities For The Long Weekend

Activities For The Long Weekend

Stuck for something to do this long weekend? We've got your back.

Staycation is the answer. You don’t have to book flights, manage an itinerary and it’s budget friendly. Here’s 3 staycations worth taking in your own backyard.

Wine Tasting

You just can't go wrong with a weekend wine tasting. Whether you are looking to expand your wine knowledge, stock up your at-home wine rack, or just get out there and see what's new in the area, a wine tasting is the best way to do it. Chat to winemakers and cellar door staff, sample delicious wines, and learn about your local region.

Can’t get to the Hunter Valley? We’ve brought the Cellar Door experience to Sydney CBD. Visit us at the Handpicked Cellar Door in Chippendale for a wine tasting - no need to book. You might even be lucky enough to taste our fermenting Pinot Noir mid-production, straight from the tank! Let us pair your wines with some delicious cheeses and cured meats, and taste the day away in urban style.

Local Theatre

Check out what's on at your local theatre, and be impressed by the local talent right on your doorstep. Many local community centres and organisations host local stage productions, ballets, or even acting classes.

Sydney-siders, be entertained by the quirky and raw talent on show at the Belvoir Theatre in Surry Hills. We’re proud to be the official partner for a run by theatre lovers, for theatre lovers. See what's on at Belvoir, and make sure you treat yourself to a glass of available at the theatre bar!

Take Some You Time

You are constantly on the run, whether it’s with work, chasing around the little ones (two or four-legged), or just the madness of life.

Every so often it is ok - no, encouraged, to take some time out for yourself. Book in for a massage, run yourself a hot bath, or just go and find a quiet corner for a cup of tea (or a wine) and let yourself reset. Read that book that has been sitting on your bedside table for weeks. Have a nap. Find whatever it is that gives you a relaxation injection, and take some time out for yourself. Check out 5 Activities For A Zen Weekend blog post for more relaxing ideas.

Obviously we recommend the glass of wine option, and the Handpicked Regional Selections Margaret River Cabernet Merlot always does the trick for us!
