Vintage 2016 arrived in a hurry and the first Pinot Noir fruit was picked in mid-February; the Marsanne came off a little later that month.
A portion of Pinot Noir juice was fermented in stainless steel while another parcel was fermented with the skins from recently pressed Marsanne grapes to give the wine extra body and texture. There was a short maturation in tank and French oak barriques. The wine was bottled in the July following harvest and is made to enjoy while youthful and fresh.
