Vintage 2016 was a warm, dry season in the Yarra Valley. Our Pinot Noir yield was above average. Harvest was early and arrived very quickly.
This wine was grown at Highbow Hill Vineyard in Yarra Glen. It is a single-clone wine from MV6 vines. The fruit was destemmed and fermented in static and overhead fermenters. The wine was matured in a mix of old and new French oak barriques for nine months and a portion was held in tank to preserve bright fruit flavours.
