Vintage 2016 was a return to good form for north-eastern Italy. The summer was warm and, importantly, tailed off with cool nights to encourage delicate fruit flavours. Yields were good and the harvest was conducted in favourable conditions in early September.
The fruit was gently pressed and the must was fermented in stainless steel vats held at between 15-17oC; the wine was cool stored in temperature-controlled tanks until bottling, all with the aim of preserving delicate fruit flavours and aromas.
