A NOTE FROM OUR WINEMAKERS
Originally a minor grape variety from Bordeaux, Carmenère is now more widely planted in Chile and has become one of the country’s signature grape varieties.

THE FINER DETAILS
With its beautiful intense colour, vibrant red fruits and fine but assertive tannin, this is a great example of Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon Carmenère.Download Tasting Notes
The season was notably warm and dry, though rain late in the season provided relief in many parts of Central Valley. The warm conditions led to a slightly early harvest of fruit of excellent flavour development, relatively low acid and high sugar levels.
The fruit was hand harvested in the first and second week of April. Fermentation was in stainless steel with select yeast and minimum pump over so as not to over-extract tannins.
