Warm conditions late in the season led to an early harvest. About 70 per cent of the fruit came from vines more than 100 years old; the remainder was from 30 year-old vines in the same vineyard in the heart of the Eden Valley.
The fruit was hand harvested and whole bunch pressed and the juice was fermented in stainless steel tanks using aromatic-enhancing yeast. The wine was aged on lees to add complexity and palate weight.
