Hot, dry conditions in summer gave over to milder weather and chilly nights in autumn, which allowed slow ripening and excellent flavour development in Cabernet fruit. Harvest was in late March.
This wine was grown at four vineyards in the Wilyabrup, Carbunup and Wallcliffe sub-regions. The must was fermented in overhead fermenters with pumping over and the wine was matured in a mix of old and new French oak barriques for 12 months.
Margaret RiverWestern Australia, Australia
Margaret River is one of the most reliable wine growing regions in Australia and its monotonously glowing vintage reports can bring tears to the eyes of long-suffering vignerons in regions less favoured by Mother Nature.Read more about the Margaret River
