This wine has complex aromas of dark berry fruits and cedar with hints of chocolate and bay leaf. On the palate are rich blackberry flavours complemented by a long, fine tannin structure.Download Tasting Notes
Hot, dry conditions in summer gave over to milder weather and chilly nights in autumn, which allowed slow ripening and excellent flavour development in Cabernet fruit. Harvest was in late March.
This wine was grown at four vineyards in the Wilyabrup, Carbunup and Wallcliffe sub-regions. The must was fermented in overhead fermenters with pumping over and the wine was matured in a mix of old and new French oak barriques for 12 months.
