A NOTE FROM OUR WINEMAKERS
This wine shows how Cabernet and Merlot work together so well – the drive and power of Cabernet complemented by the juicy softness of Merlot.

THE FINER DETAILS
This is a full-bodied wine with aromas of blackberries and chocolate and the distinctive bay leaf character of Margaret River Cabernet wines. The palate has typical Cabernet drive and structure with Merlot adding richness and supple tannin.
Hot, dry conditions in summer gave over to milder weather and chilly nights in autumn, which allowed gradual ripening and excellent flavour development in Cabernet and Merlot fruit. This wine was grown at four vineyards in the Wilyabrup, Carbunup and Wallcliffe sub-regions. Harvest was in late March. The must was fermented in overhead fermenters with pumping over and the wine was matured in a mix of old and new French oak barriques for 12 months.
